Fascinating and inevitable: the New York Times reports that several services are now tracking readers’ habits as they use e-books.  http://nyti.ms/K1FjQo   I wonder how people will read Natural Prophets.  It is a connected narrative, but the first three chapters are largely deep background from an era that precedes most of us.  Will industry insiders just start with the index, find the names they recognize, and jump to those sections?
